1 year: one year crisis
By this age, most children can walk independently. The first step is behind, and ahead are new skills and abilities, conquering new heights. The child is already learning to overcome new obstacles, climb over fences, climb climbs.
Most children have 8 teeth by the age of 1 year. Someone has more, someone less. Teething is an individual matter. Make sure your child has received enough vitamin D. Remember that your child’s need for vitamin D increases after a year. Now the need for vitamin D is 600 IU / day according to WHO.
By the age of one year, the child sleeps less during the day. Many babies go to a single daytime sleep, while others, on the contrary, sleep the same 2 times a day.
By the age of one year, a lot of products are already in the baby’s diet. Many children often eat what adults eat. If you have not given your child food in pieces, now is the time to start. This is very important for the proper development of the maxillofacial apparatus and learning to chew. If you tighten with accustoming the baby to the fact that the food is heterogeneous and needs to be chewed, then later vomiting may occur on any inhomogeneous food. According to the HIA, the introduction of juices is also recommended for children older than 1 year. So if you want, you can introduce juice into the diet.
The main feature of the psychology of the baby during this period is the awareness of their own “I”, separate from mom, dad and other surroundings. A child with his “I want to, I don’t want”, which my parents are not yet ready to accept. Now an important stage in the formation of a child’s own opinion. At the same age, possessive instincts may manifest, especially if the child is not the first. He tries to keep his mother’s attention as much as possible in all available ways. This is a normal stage in the development of the psyche of the baby and gaining your own place under the sun.
At the age of 1 year, the child is often capricious and irritable. Sometimes this is simply a consequence of overwork, and sometimes it is the upholding of one’s self and one’s independence. Accept that your child is no longer part of you, it is a separate person and must be respected. The easiest way to calm a child is with your arms and switching attention to another activity or game.
♦ Get up and walk independently.
♦ Pronounce a few simplified words, uses onomatopoeia.
♦ Actively play with toys, begins to use toy objects for their intended purpose.
♦ A story game appears in the game.
♦ Chew food.
♦ Build a tower of two blocks.

Parents should pay attention to the health of the baby’s teeth. Not far off is the first visit to the dentist. Teeth should be brushed twice a day with a baby brush with soft and baby toothpaste. If your drinking water source is low in fluoride, then you can use a toothpaste that contains fluorine in the amount of rice grain.
The process of education should always be constant and consistent. If you forbid something, then it should always be forbidden. If one of the parents forbids something, then the other cannot allow it.
Try to read to children more often. Do not worry that the child listens to one fairy tale several times. They like it.
Try to stick to your daily routine. Do not forget to walk with the baby. Optimally, if it will be 2 walks for 1-2 hours a day. Walking helps protect the child from the common cold and strengthens his immunity. Even during illness, with the well-being of the child, you can and should walk.
The child learns to climb and go down the stairs. Teach him to do it safely. That is, when the legs first go down. Subsequently, this skill is useful in order to go down safely from the couch, and not fall from it.
Pay attention to how the child dances when he hears funny music. Even more he likes to dance next to you. Do not forget to arrange yourself such musical breaks.
The kid imitates your daily labor activity: he puts the laundry out of the washing machine, puts it in the basin, mopped the floor (with what came to hand). Now he repeats absolutely everything.
What can be taught
Understand what the child wants and what he does not want and respect his decision. The child is fully aware when he wants to eat or drink, wants a banana or an apple.
You can teach your child to wave “bye-bye” or “hello.” He still cannot fully speak, but he can manifest his emotions in this way. Give your child the opportunity to imitate you – he is interested.
How speech develops
Remember that a child owes nothing to anyone. He should not say 10 words in 1 year, he should not live up to your expectations (the expectations of grandmothers, doctors, neighbors, etc.)
Some children speak and repeat a lot, while others, on the contrary, are extremely small. Pay attention to speech understanding, that is, how the baby understands the addressed speech. Try to repeat what you see around. The names of simple items are important for the child. But do not overload the child with new words and impressions.
